 Today has been a quietly satisfying day so far. I woke up at 4 a.m., feeling surprisingly refreshed after a restless night without internet. Once I got up, the connection was finally back, so I took care of claiming credits from several accounts and spent a pleasant stretch simply scrolling through TikTok. After being cut off last night, that little bit of mindless browsing felt like a small luxury—especially since I’d still been getting notifications but couldn’t actually open any browsers.

Later I fired up The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and managed to take down a Guardian. The fight felt good, and now I’m itching to hunt another one soon. I need more ancient materials, which means I’ll have to push through quite a few tougher enemies and sell off the loot to keep upgrading my gear. It’s the kind of satisfying grind I enjoy.

I’m still waiting on my new ID to arrive today. Tomorrow I have an appointment to open a new bank account, so fingers crossed everything lines up. If the ID doesn’t show, I’ll have to reschedule, but there’s not much I can do until it gets here.

This morning I stepped out and treated myself to a coffee and a chocolate fudge muffin. It was absolutely delicious—rich, moist, and perfectly sweet. I may have found my new regular order. I might even grab another one later this afternoon.

I’m supposed to meet up with a friend today to record more episodes of our Pokémon Randomized Nuzlocke podcast. We’ll see how the timing works out; I’m looking forward to it if we can make it happen.
